See meals in your calendar
See your planned meals in the calendar app you already use. Each meal appears as an all-day event on its day. Subscribe if you want your calendar to keep up with your plan, or download a one-off copy of some days.
Subscribe to your plan
Section titled “Subscribe to your plan”- Open Plan, then choose Calendar → Calendar subscriptions.
- Enter a Subscription name, such as “Family meals”, and choose Create subscription.
- Choose Open in calendar app, or choose Copy link and paste it into your calendar app’s “subscribe by URL” option.
Savorum shows the link only this once. If you need it again, choose Replace link and subscribe again with the new one. The old link stops working.
To change a meal, change it in Savorum: the calendar copy is read-only.
Download a copy
Section titled “Download a copy”- Choose the days you want in Plan.
- Choose Calendar → Download these days (.ics).
- Open the file to add it to your calendar app.
A downloaded copy doesn’t change when your plan does.
Keep your link private
Section titled “Keep your link private”Anyone with your subscription link can see your meal plan, so share it only with people you trust. Events show dish names only, never your notes or recipes.
If a link was shared by mistake, open Calendar subscriptions and choose Replace link. The old link stops working straight away. Choose Revoke to stop a subscription altogether.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Your calendar app checks for changes on its own schedule, so updates can take a while to appear.
- Meals without a date don’t appear. Skipped meals show as cancelled.
- A subscription shows meals from 60 days ago to a year ahead.
- If updates stop, check that the subscription is still listed. Last read shows when your calendar app last checked.
- Library owners can see and revoke every subscription for the library. A subscription stops working if the person who made it loses access.
- If you run Savorum yourself, your calendar app must be able to reach your server. An address like
127.0.0.1only works on the computer running Savorum. See Secure remote access, and make sure any sign-in gateway lets/calendar/requests through.
