Plan meals
Use Plan to decide what to cook and when. Add recipes from your library, simple dishes like “toast”, or leftovers, then shop for everything in one go.
Plan a meal
Section titled “Plan a meal”- Open Plan and choose Plan a meal.
- Pick a Date, or leave it empty to decide later. You can also choose a Meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack.
- Under Find a recipe or saved meal, search for a recipe and select it. Add more recipes for side dishes.
- To make more or less of a dish, change its Batch:
2doubles it and1/2halves it. This affects this meal only. - Choose Save meal.
For food that isn’t in your library, choose Add a dish without a recipe and type its name. Add Shopping items if you want it on your shopping list.
Meals without a date wait under Unscheduled until you pick a day.
See your plan
Section titled “See your plan”Choose Week, Month, or Agenda (the next four weeks). Use the arrows to move through the dates, or Today to come back. You can bookmark any view.
Change a meal
Section titled “Change a meal”Choose Edit on a meal to change its dishes, batches, notes, or date. The More menu has shortcuts:
- Move to… another day, or back to unscheduled.
- Plan this meal again to repeat it on another day.
- Plan leftovers to add a leftovers meal later in the week. Leftovers don’t add the ingredients to your shopping list again.
- Skip this meal if plans change. Keep this meal brings it back.
- Delete to remove it from the plan. The recipes stay in your library.
If the meal is already on your shopping list, Savorum offers to update the list too, and shows you the changes first.
Save a meal you make often
Section titled “Save a meal you make often”Choose More → Save this meal and give it a name, like “Sunday roast”. Next time, open Saved meals and choose Plan this meal, or search for it when planning.
Shop and cook from the plan
Section titled “Shop and cook from the plan”- Add ingredients to list on a meal adds what it needs to your shopping list.
- Shop for meals lets you pick several meals and shop for them together. Skipped meals are left out.
- Cook on a meal starts cooking its recipes.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Everyone who shares your library sees the same plan. People with the Viewer role can see it but not change it.
- If you edit a recipe after planning it, the plan keeps the version you planned until you choose to update it while shopping. That way you cook what you shopped for.
- A recipe in the trash still shows in the plan, but restore it before you cook from there. If you delete it permanently, the dish keeps its name, but you can’t cook it from the plan.
