Keep pantry notes

Pantry notes are a quick record of what’s in your cupboards. When you make a shopping list, Savorum shows what you might already have, so you don’t buy it twice.

  1. Open Shopping → Pantry and choose Add ingredient.
  2. Type the ingredient’s name. If you like, add a rough amount, a unit, a location (like “freezer”), and a note.
  3. Choose Save.

Choose Edit to change a note, or Remove when you’ve run out.

When you add ingredients to a shopping list, turn on Review items you may already have. Ingredients you’ve noted show “May have”, with the amount and location you recorded. Untick anything you don’t need to buy.

  • Savorum never changes your pantry on its own. Shopping doesn’t add to it, and cooking doesn’t use anything up. Update it when you remember.
  • Names must match to show up: “Flour” matches “flour”, but not “plain flour”.
  • Everyone who shares your library shares the same pantry. People with the Viewer role can see it but not change it.
  • A library can hold up to 2,000 pantry notes.
  • If someone else changes the same note while you’re editing, choose Reload pantry and check their change before saving yours. Your edit is kept while you do.
